RESIDENTS in Wedmore will be going bonkers for conkers in a battle to the death tomorrow (Fri).
Villagers will be heading to The New Inn in Combe Batch armed with shoelaces and conkers for the competition at 8pm.
Regular at the pub, Trevor Prideaux, is also running The Turnip Prize, an artwork competition for pieces with the least amount of effort put in.
The closing date for entries to the competition, which is a spoof of The Turner Prize, is November 19. Final judging will be held in the pub on December 3.
