FORMER Weston Grammar School pupils got together to share memories and experiences at a reunion party.

The event, which took place at Weston Golf Club in Uphill Road North, saw 22 ex-students attend with their partners. The party was held to mark 50 years since the class of 1965 finished school.

Gordon Robert, Rolf Gooderham, Phil Cant and Roger Hill were responsible for organising the event.

Mr Robert, who still lives in Weston, said: “Five of us still live in the town, but others travelled from places such as Devon, Dorset and the Midlands.

“People have had all sorts of careers – one of us has an OBE, whereas others are doctors, solicitors and even a priest.

“It was a hugely successful day and we may hold another one in a couple of years’ time, when we will celebrate our 70th birthdays.”
