THE inaugural Burnham garden party, organised by the team behind the town's food and drink festival, was a roaring success in Manor Gardens on Sunday.

An afternoon of sunshine was the perfect accompaniment for the free event, with live music and local food and drink for families to enjoy.

It was arranged by Beverley and Sarah Milner-Simmonds, who will bring the Burnham Food Festival back to the town on October 25, and with the success of the weekend it seems more parties may be set to follow.

Sarah said: “We were really pleased people came and supported this new event.

“The traders gave us very encouraging feedback and all those who gave up their time to perform on the bandstand were amazing.”
