Rain failed to put a dampener on the Yeo Valley Lions Club’s annual 50:50 Strawberry Lion Walk.

The walk, which raised more than £3,000 last year, started at the entrance to the Strawberry Line at Yatton Station.

It saw walkers take on a variety of routes, including a 20-mile round trip to Axbridge reservoir and back.

Organiser Roger Gibbins said: “The walk is a great opportunity for individuals and organisations to raise money for their chosen cause and help the Yeo Valley Lions support the local community at the same time.

“I think it went well. About 40 people took part, which was great considering the wet weather.”
