ECO-WARRIORS with a passion for the planet are being urged to go along to a recruitment drive in Weston.

The town's branch of Greenpeace will be holding the event at The Balmoral on Clevedon Road on April 14 at 8pm.

The meeting will be an opportunity to learn about residents can do their bit for the local and national environmental agenda.

Group leader Monica Rafferty said: "Putting a stop to environmental destruction is more vital now than ever, and Greenpeace needs people on the front line to help us make our voice heard.

"Whether it is tackling climate change, protecting biodiversity or promoting peace, we can all do something to make a difference."

The group regularly campaigns on the streets, lobbies politicians, helps at festivals and organises non-violent protests.

The branch is one of more than 100 Greenpeace groups in the UK. For more details call Monica on 01934 420968.
