THE Berrow and Burnham Fundraising Group will be holding a tea party for Marie Curie Cancer Care on June 23.

New Cote, in Brent Road, Berrow, will host the afternoon meet from 2-5pm.

Chairwoman Hilary Cox said: ‘Marie Curie nurses look after people with cancer and other terminal illnesses in their own homes.

“It costs £20 per hour to fund this service, although it’s free to the patient and their family.

“Our local group is hoping to raise enough to pay for two weeks of care by selling cream teas and tickets for our raffle. We hope people will come along and support the event, so we can raise as much as possible”

Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign runs during June and July. For more information visit or call 08700 340040.
