MUSICIANS and concert-goers across Weston will rejoice at the sight of this picture, as it shows Grove Park's historic bandstand is close to being reopened.
The Victorian bandstand is being put back in its rightful place after being painstakingly taken apart and lovingly restored.
Each part of the stage had to be removed to be sent for specialist repairs, but now the structure is being put back together in its iconic form.
The newly-painted pillars are up in place and the roof framework is ready to go, now contractors are working on making the base sturdy enough to hold the bands which hope to perform there.
North Somerset Council hopes all the work will be completed by Sunday, so music could be performed on the stage as early as September.
