Guard 'racially abused' after customer misses taxi

RACIAL abuse was aimed at a security guard - because a customer missed his taxi.

The incident took place at Alexandra Parade on Sunday morning between 4.40-5am.

An Avon and Somerset spokesman said the man missed his taxi and became aggressive when told by the security guard he would need to rebook one. It was at this point racially abusive remarks were made, according to police.

Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the incident. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
