DOZENS of guests dressed up to raise money for servicemen’s charity Help for Heroes at a glitzy ball on Friday.

The Frock Up For Heroes event was held at the Webbington Hotel in Loxton and raised more than £7,000 for the charity.

As well as a sumptuous dinner and music, the event also had raffles, spot prizes and a silent auction.

The event was organised by John Shaw, of Cheddar, whose two daughters both married soldiers, and Charlotte Grant, of Cross, whose partner recently completed a six-month tour of Afghanistan.
