FIVE men were arrested at gunpoint after they were caught playing with imitation weapons in Weston.Armed officers and the police helicopter were called to Gloucester Street at 7.45pm on Monday (July 24) after reports of men carrying weapons.The men, aged between 21 and 37, were found with a fake semi-automatic rifle and imitation handgun that could fire ball bearings. Officers also found martial arts weapons and two swords on the men.One of the men, Ruben Souza, aged 24, said he was only playing with the plastic gun and doesn't understand why he was arrested.He said: "It was very scary when the police pointed the guns at us. We were just playing around with the guns and weren't aiming or firing them."Four men were given formal cautions for possessing firearms in a public place. One of them was also cautioned for carrying an offensive weapon. One 24-year-old man was released without charge.
