A GYMNASTICS group in Somerset has received just under £1,000 in grants from a community fund to help finance new equipment for toddlers.

Monarchs in Highbridge received £996 from the Community First Highbridge Fund and used the cash to buy a ball pit for their toddlers as well as a balance beam for preschool children.

Monarchs spokesman Sue Merrett said: “We at Monarchs would like to say a huge thank you to the Community First Highbridge Fund for the grant that we have now received. The little ones got so much pleasure from using it and it will help them to socialise with other little ones of similar ages. The equipment will be of benefit to a wide number of people in the community.”
