Final hair cut

A 10-year-old schoolgirl has had her hair chopped off to raise money for Somerset Breast Cancer Now and Children’s Hospice South West.

Hannah Chattwood of Axbridge raised £250 for the charities, through donating her cut hair to the Little Princess Trust on May 25.

A target of £50 was originally set on Hannah’s Virgin Money Giving page which her mum had set up for her.

Katy Chattwood, Hannah’s mum, said: “We are so incredibly proud of Hannah, we are delighted with her caring and positive outlook towards having her hair cut in order to donate to those less fortunate than ourselves.

“Hannah had a total of 12 inches of hair cut off which is being donated to the Little Princess Trust, who create wigs for children who have lost their own hair through illness.

“She has raised the incredible amount of £250 which is being split between the two charities.”
