Consultation over alterations to Weston’s health system will be extended.
Changes to A&E opening hours and Weston General Hospital services have been put forward by Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). Views on the ideas are being sought, but the deadline to comment has been extended from May 24.
MORE: CCG defends planned changes to Weston A&E.
In the weeks leading up to an election, the CCG is not allowed to hold public meetings and it had planned to resume the forums after yesterday’s (Thursday’s) voting.
But, with European elections being planned with no Brexit compromise on the horizon, the CCG will have to observe similar regulations before that vote on May 23.
It means the consultation will end on June 14 at noon and public events will be rescheduled.
