Health bosses are urging people in Weston-super-Mare and surrounding villages to have their say on the future of care services.

As part of the Healthy Weston document, which sets out a vision for healthcare in the Weston area, North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is hosting a series of public events to allow people to share opinions on health services in the area including Weston General Hospital.

Clinical chairman and GP Mary Backhouse said: “We have several public engagement events scheduled over the next two months in Cheddar, Worle and Weston.

“We are also keen to hear from any local community groups who would like us to visit and discuss the programme, particularly in the surrounding areas of Yatton, Claverham, Cleeve, Congresbury, Langford, Churchill, Wrington, Winscombe, Banwell and Hutton.

“Healthy Weston is a really exciting opportunity to transform health and care services in North Somerset and we need to hear from everyone so that we get it right.”
