A PARISH council must wait a while longer to find out if it owes a former clerk hundreds of pounds in alleged unpaid overtime.

Banwell Parish Council was set to face Gareth Jones in a small claims hearing at North Somerset Courthouse on Monday over the claim.

But the hearing has been adjourned to July 15 following a request from Mr Jones.

The former clerk says he did 191 hours overtime for the council during 2009, but was never paid the £700 he claims to be owed.

Members of the council, however, dispute the claim.
