Heating help for householders

HELP is at hand for Sedgemoor district residents who are worried about keeping their homes warm this winter.
The Hard to Treat scheme has been launched by the Centre for Sustainable Energy and funded by the district council to look after homes which are harder to keep warm.
The scheme is offering grants of up to 25 per cent of the value of the work of solid wall insulation, and loft and floor insulations, up to a maximum of £25,000 per property, for those properties deemed to be ‘hard to treat’.
Low interest loans will also be available to customers who are able to satisfy low income eligibility.
The one-year project is available now, and anyone wanting to find out whether they are eligible should contact the Energy Saving Trust advice centre on 0800 512012.
