Secret World Wildlife Rescue opened its doors over the weekend to reveal hidden secrets about hedgehogs and how to look after them.

People of all ages attended the open weekend and a host of activities were on offer, including wildlife talks and games for children.

The rescue centre has revealed it saves more than 500 hedgehogs every year and this event showed people what to do if they find a hedgehog in distress. It was also a chance for people to get up-close-and-personal with the animals.
