A HELICOPTER landed in Weston town centre to attend a life-threatening incident.

A HELICOPTER landed in Weston town centre to attend a life-threatening incident.

A Great Western Ambulance Service aircraft was spotted by residents landing near Landemann Circus at 12.30pm on New Year's Day.

An ambulance service spokesman confirmed that a 999 call was made from a private address and that a rapid response vehicle, helicopter and land ambulance responded to a report of a young girl choking.

The girl was taken by land ambulance to Weston General Hospital.
