Helicopter Museum hosts open cockpit day

Helicopter enthusiasts were able to step inside some of the world’s most famous flying machines at the weekend.
The Helicopter Museum in Locking Moor Road held an open cockpit day which saw dozens of keen visitors get first-hand experience of the attraction’s impressive selection.
As well as having complex helicopter controls explained by an experienced guide, some visitors were lucky enough to be taken on a stunning flight in the skies above Weston.
The museum hosts open cockpit days throughout the year with the next taking place on March 11.
A spotters weekend is also being held on March 17-18 where visitors can learn about work carried out by the museum’s team of dedicated volunteers.
