Help available to up-and-coming musicians

A MUSIC foundation born out of the death of a talented guitarist from Weston is holding an awareness day this weekend.
Money from the Charlie Derrick Music Bursary has come to the aid of many young musicians wanting to buy equipment and tuition.
Set up seven years ago after Charlie, aged 20, died in a car crash, the fund has so far raised £20,000.
On Sunday, Charlie’s mother Julie is holding an awareness day for the bursary at The London Inn, in The High Street.
The event, starting at 4pm, will give up-and-coming musicians a chance to find out what help they can get, and opportunity to talk to some professionals who will be there.
