MORE than 100 people enjoyed a harvest supper in Banwell at the weekend.

On Saturday night the village hall in Westfield Road was packed and the crowds enjoyed entertainment from the Banwell Amateur Dramatics group before tucking in to hot meal.

Committee member Sonia Mitchell said: “People said it went very well. We had an excellent meal with three different types of meat, salad and potatoes, followed by apple pie and a cheese board.

“It was all organised by the harvest supper committee and we desperately need more people to come and help us next year.”

The event raises money for the two village churches, St Andrew’s Church and the methodist church, and the village hall.

If you would like to help organise next year’s event, call Sonia on 01934 820460.
