A WILDLIFE charity will hold its Brean 14 charity fun-run, between the Brean and Berrow holiday villages and Burnham, at the end of the month.

The charity, Secret World, has received a helping hand from John Harris, owner of the Warren Farm Holiday Park, who will provide the use of his premises, the Beachcomber Inn, for the event.

Mr Harris said: “Secret World are always ready to help if seabirds get caught up in fishing lines or land on the park during a storm, so when I heard they needed some facilities for Brean 14, I was very happy to lend a hand.”

Secret World founder Pauline Kidner said the use of the inn for registration would save having to hire and erect tents, so there will be more cash for the charity.

She said: “While participants can choose a 14k run, a 6k walk or a cycle ride, there will be prizes for the best in Halloween fancy dress.”

The event starts at 10.30am on October 30. Entry is £10 for adults and £5 for those under 16. For more information call the fundraising team on 01278 783 250.
