Helping out

PUBLISHED: 20:00 14 September 2012

WESTON and Worle Lions have donated £1,000 between them to help disabled children lead active lives.

The groups donated £500 each to Whizz-Kidz, which supports youngsters by helping them get the right mobility equipment.

The right mobility equipment is not automatically provided by the NHS and the charity’s FastForward campaign is calling on the Government to reform the situation.

Whizz-kids has helped change the lives of nearly 13,000 children since 1990.
