HAYFEVER sufferers across the region are in for bad news as the pollen count is expected to peak in the next few days.

The Met Office has predicted that Somerset will see a high grass pollen count up to the end of the week, as the region is expected to see spells of bright and sunny weather.

Patrick Sachon, health forecaster at the Met Office, said: “If fine weather occurs early June we could see an intense peak pollen season [until] mid June, with high pollen counts.”
