Vikings will invade a Weston park in July for an event organised by the town’s museum.

The free history activities will take place in Grove Park, in High Street, and actors will show how the Vikings lived and fought.

It is being hosted by Weston Museum, ahead of it re-opening later in the summer.

The event, previously called the History Weekend, was held on the Beach Lawns last year, but much of it had to be cancelled because of poor weather.

This year it will take place on July 22 from 10am-5pm.
