History lessons come to life at town museum

THIS summer holiday, children have been invited to learn about the Great War by getting up-close and personal with some aspects of the conflict.
Weston Museum is hosting the event during the school break to give families the chance to experience what life was like in World War One.
During the next three weeks, the museum is offering a number of opportunities for hands-on learning. This week it is re-enacting the recruitment process, and next week there will be a chance to see what life was like in the trenches.
On the final week the museum will be showing how Weston families contributed to the war effort, as soldiers came home and needed to be taken care of.
The event began on Tuesday and will run until August 29. The museum in Burlington Street is open 10am-5pm from Tuesday to Sunday.
