A TERMINALLY ill cancer patient had her dreams come true when work colleagues arranged a surprise day out with a group of Harley Davidson riders.Carol Anderson was called by her work colleague last Saturday morning and told a car was coming to take her to Weston seafront and not to ask any questions. When 30 burly riders from Harley Owners Group (HOG) were waiting to greet her Carol, aged 48, could not believe it.The surprise trip was organised by Carol's colleagues at Worle Car's taxi company. They arranged the day because Carol, of Bridge Road, Weston, was recently diagnosed with cervical cancer.Carol, a grandmother of two, was first diagnosed many years ago and its reoccurrence has meant that further treatment is not possible.Carol, who has worked at Worle Cars for 10 years, has always dreamt of owning a Harley Davidson and had never ridden one.Work colleague Louise Pearsall said: "Carol was overwhelmed. Dave Holden, a chapter director of HOG rode Carol on his Harley to Brean and then onto Riders, the Harley Davidson dealership at Bridgwater."The other bikers followed behind. We would like to thank Dave and all the members for turning up and making such an effort."Carol treated herself to a jacket, helmet and t-shirt from Riders with the money collected by her work colleagues. The morning ended with a pub lunch.
