A charity which supports homeless people in Weston-super-Mare is looking for someone to act as its part-time secretary.

Somewhere To Go is based in the Boulevard and offers hot meals, a place to shower, seek shelter, and get advice on benefits and housing to people who are homeless or in unsuitable accommodation.

The charity’s board is searching for a company secretary, with the hope someone will give their time for free.

Somewhere To Go’s director Mike Cooper said the secretary will be an ‘important link’ between the board of directors and the organisation’s management.

Mr Cooper added: “We are looking for a retired company secretary to provide advice to the Somewhere To Go board and deal with the appointment of directors, attend board meetings as required and liaise with the treasurer.”

Responsibilities will include preparing agendas and papers for board meetings.

The role is expected to involve around 20 hours’ work a year.
