Homeless helped into housing

MORE than 130 families either homeless or in danger of losing their home have been given assistance to find homes in the private rented sector thanks to a new partnership.

Somerset West Landlords and Tenants (SWeLT) forms part of the private sector housing partnership set up by Sedgemoor, Taunton Deane and West Somerset councils and has helped 675 people find somewhere to live in the last year, with 93 in Sedgemoor.

A total of 133 families who were in danger of losing or were already without social housing were helped to find a new property.
