A SOMERSET Olympic hopeful has been given a top prize in a prestigious competition.
Jo May, aged 38, from West Stoughton near Wedmore, picked up a Martin Whiteley Trophy which is awarded annually to a British rider gaining the most points during the eventing year.
Jo and her horse Faere Vision competed in six events this year and were awarded at only three.
Jo picked up her award on Saturday at the British Eventing Awards Ball in Birmingham.
