A FAMILY fun day is being organised in memory of a horse mad little girl who died suddenly last year.Eight-year-old Danielle Bradley from Banwell was taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital after being diagnosed with Wilson's Disease last June. The eight-year-old's family had no idea she was ill until the disease had caused irreparable damage to her organs and despite a liver transplant the Banwell Primary School pupil died on June 25. To mark the first anniversary of Danielle's death, her family is organising the Fun Day For Stars and all proceeds will be donated to the Liver Foundation.Danielle's mum, Sharon, of High Street, said: "In her short time Danielle made a big impact on many people's lives."After she died many of her school friends told me how much they had learned from her about horses and it was only then I realised how much she had brought to others as well as her family."Danielle was absolutely horse mad and owned her first horse at just four-years-old."She was a very talented little girl and used to compete in all sorts of horse competitions."After her death we referred to her as our little star and bought a star in the constellation on Pegasus in her memory."This event is to celebrate her life and let all the other little stars in the area have a fun-packed day."At the fun day there will be horse-related events such as a gymkhana as well as a bouncy castle, a sports afternoon, arts and crafts workshops and games for children. There will also be a fancy dress competition and a barbecue. The Fun Day For Stars will be held at the Hand Equestrian Centre in Clevedon on August 12 from 10am.For more details call Sharon on 07716 784943.
