Weston Hospicecare is calling on the town’s finest photographers to enter its new competition, which will see an array of photos displayed in a calendar in aid of the charity.
The hospice is looking for people to submit their finest photos of Weston and its surrounding villages and countryside looking wonderful.
Staff will then choose a photo to represent each month of the year once entries have been received, and the calendar will go on sale towards the end of 2016.
Gemma Turner, the hospice’s retail director, said she was delighted to launch the calendar and hoped it would be a huge hit with supporters.
Gemma said: “We only need 12 pictures which cover the whole of our catchment area, which runs from Clevedon to the north, Blagdon to the east and running south as far as the River Parrett, including Burnham, Cheddar, Wedmore, Yatton, Congresbury and Axbridge.
“I am confident readers of the Midweek will not let us down and we will be spoilt for choice with the fabulous quality of photographs they send to us.
“Weston Hospicecare relies heavily on support from the public and I am sure local people will, once more, do their very best to help their local hospice.”
Anyone wishing to enter the competition should send their photos as an email attachment to photocomp@westonhospicecare.org.uk by April 29.
