Weston Hospicecare's newest shop, on Milton Road, opened its doors for the first time on Tuesday morning.

The shop was officially opened by Weston’s deputy mayor Jos Holder.

According to the hospice, the new shop – which is located close to its former Milton Road premises – will have a wider range of furniture and will allow the hospice to meet increasing demand.

The charity’s retail manager Gemma Turner said: “We’re hopeful the new location will help us better serve the people of Milton, and raise more money to support the work of the hospice.

“We’re really excited about the new shop and delighted with the response from the public.”

The new shop will be open from 9.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Saturday.
