Three members of Weston Hospicecare's team walked the 10-mile route of the Mendip Challenge so they could share some tips with people preparing for the event.

Communications manager Erin Boeck Motum and Kelsey and Rachel from the fundraising team followed the walk guide to see if any changes needed to be made to make it easier for people to find their way.

Erin said: “The walk is difficult, but it is definitely worth it.

“Whether you want to challenge yourself physically, are keen to see the wonders of the West Mendip Way or you’re looking for something unique to do with a group of friends, I can highly recommend it.”

The event, which raises money for Weston Hospicecare, is being held on June 4 and people can walk 10, 20 or 30 miles.

Tips include building up your training, warming up on the day, investing in walking boots and stocking up on water. To sign up to the event, visit www.westonhospicecare.org.uk/mendip
