WESTON General Hospital has been named in a list of the UK's top 40 hospitals.The list was compiled by Comparative Health Knowledge Systems, a company which looked at factors such as death, complication and MRSA rates, numbers of cancelled operations and re-admission figures. It is the second time the hospital has achieved the top 40 list, which is not ranked in any order.Dr Tricia Woodhead, Weston Area Health NHS Trust medical director, said: "To achieve a top 40 ranking for the second year running is an excellent result of which we are very proud."Our rating is based on robust analysis of the comprehensive data we record about all the patients we see and treat and reflects our performance as an efficient trust providing high-quality clinical care.
