North Somerset attracts thousands of visitors every year, coming to see Weston's Grand Pier, strolling along the beach, walking in Weston's woods and many more, but the hot topic on Streetlife this week was which attraction is the best in our region.

John C started the thread, and said: “If you were asked to suggest the best sites in North Somerset, what sights would you pick and why?”

Emma V posted a stunning picture of the seafront, and said: “The sea, seafront and the sands, they’re always changing.”

Peter St George agreed, but said: “I totally agree, one change I would like to see would start with the Tropicana.

“The installation of beach huts will change the views.”

Sarah W looked outside of North Somerset, and said: “Cheddar Gorge can be very breathtaking.”

Sally F had a lot of praise for Weston’s museum, and said: “The museum is good, it is always doing different things to encourage people to go and visit. It had a big World War One exhibition.

“It would be nice for more locals to support it.

“My granddaughter loves it as there is lots of hands-on things to do.”

John H agreed, and said: “I also love the Old Town Quarry in Weston, steeped in history, quirky and a lovely welcoming tea rooms and cafe with cosy log burners in winter and outside seating in summer.”
