A ‘spectacular’ Burns’ Night celebration took place at a Congresbury hotel on Saturday.

DoubleTree by Hilton, Cadbury House hosted a traditional evening of haggis, whisky and bagpipes to mark the occasion, which celebrates the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Guests enjoyed a four-course dinner in the great room of the Frost Hill venue, before dancing to music provided by the 10-piece Shirley Pipe Band.

Cadbury House general manager Colin Badcock said: “Burns’ Night suppers are great occasions.

“To have a 10-piece piper band on hand made the evening a spectacular affair.”
