A public meeting to discuss how North Somerset can ensure its housing growth is sustainable will be held in Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday.
North Somerset Green Party is hosting an event to look at whether or not the district’s housing and transport plans are appropriate and it will hear from North Somerset Council’s planning policy manager Michael Reep.
The Green Party’s metro-mayor candidate for Bristol and Bath, Darren Hall, will host the meeting.
He said: “There are significant pinch points for commuters that could be made even worse if the plans aren’t thought through carefully.
“It is incredibly important we balance the need for prosperity whilst protecting the fantastic local landscape which so many people love.”
The event will take place at the Friends Meeting House, on the corner of High Street and Oxford Street in Weston. Doors will open at 7pm and the event will begin at 7.30pm.
