Councillors will make a decision this week on plans for dozens of homes in Weston, which prompted plenty of objections from people living nearby.
North Somerset Council’s planning committee will meet at Weston Town Hall on Wednesday, with Mr D Crow and Mrs P Saunders’ plans for a site off Bridgwater Road at the Bleadon Hill junction on the agenda.
The council’s team of planning officers has recommended the application is approved by members next week, but Bleadon Parish Council and Weston Town Council have previously expressed concerns over the proposals.
Both authorities have aired fears of over-development and road safety.
But the applicants believe the plans are ‘sustainable’ and will provide a wide range of homes and investment in nearby infrastructure such as schools.
