A man and a woman, both in their 60s, were rescued by firefighters in a hovercraft after becoming exhausted from walking along Weston-super-Mare beach earlier today (Tuesday).
The two had been walking around 100 yards from the shore between The Grand Pier and the Tropicana but were unable to walk back to the seafront.
Firefighters quickly located the two people, who were tired but otherwise unhurt.
