Weston-super-Mare Cricket Club, in Devonshire Road, hosted a two-day festival and welcomed people from all over the area to try 30 different beers and ciders.

There was also live music from bands Zeals, Priest Unleashed and Echo Bridge.

Organiser Mike Lee said: “It was really good and everything went well. The weather was brilliant for most of the weekend and we sold a lot of beer and cider.

“We wanted to raise between £2-3,000 and I think we have hit that, but we are still counting.”

The festival has traditionally raised money for the club’s youth programmes as well as a Weston charity.

In the past two years, the club has donated thousands of pounds to Weston Hospicecare but Mike has said the team has yet to decide on this year’s charity.
