Hutton Horticultural Society’s annual show was held at the weekend, featuring an impressive array of exhibits.

The event, held at St Mary’s Field in St Marys Road, saw hundreds of keen gardeners present their finest crops for judging.

As well as a variety of floral, fruit and vegetable classes there were plenty of other categories for creative exhibitors to enter including in photography, arts and crafts.

High-achievers on the day included Sue Elswood who received a first prize for her suffragettes-inspired display, Lynn Perry who earned most points in the floral class and Clare Howard, who won first prize for her beautiful acrylic painting.

Children were also kept entertained throughout the show with entertainment, sports activities and a bouncy castle.
