Hutton neighbourhood plan progresses

Hutton Parish Council has been given the green light to continue with its neighbourhood development plan.
The council applied to the district authority last month for the designation of a neighbourhood area.
North Somerset decided the parish boundary is the ‘logical’ area the plan should cover.
Parish clerk Steve Cope said: “We have had the first part of the funding through and we have submitted our due diligence to start the first phase of it.
“We will look to do a public consultation, maybe in September, and try to canvas support from parishioners.”
North Somerset Council has published a decision to be signed by Cllr Elfan Ap Rees, executive member with responsibility for strategic planning and housing.
The decision notice says: “The whole of the parish is a logical area to designate and regulations encourage and facilitate a whole parish approach.”
