The familiar roar of motorbikes will be heard for miles around in Weston this weekend as the beach race returns.

Hundreds of bikes will tear up the town’s seafront for the three-day event with plenty of thrills and spills for the gathering crowd.

Riding greats will go head to head as they tackle a gruelling sand hills and obstacles on the beach near the Tropicana.

Racers from across the globe will gather in the area in the hope of taking home the coveted trophy at the end of the weekend.

But the beach race would not be complete without the spectacle that is the flat out straight where more than 1,000 riders fly down the beach sands at once.

The HydroGarden Weston Beach Race will take place on the beach from tomorrow (Friday) to Sunday with races starting at 9am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.

Tickets, priced £4-120, are available at www.westonbeachrace.com
