THE co-ordinator of a Weston charity has been training hard as he prepares to take on a 10k run to raise money for the organisation.

Ian Fraser is taking part in the Weston Tough 10 challenge on February 19 to raise money to help run the Foodbank charity, which was set up last year to help families in need.

Ian, of Shrubbery Road, Weston, said: “I am 44 and I haven’t seriously run since I was in The Royal Navy in my 20s, so I have been putting in a lot of work at the gym and have been doing a lot of different exercises.

“I think I can do it, I am hoping to raise some money for the Foodbank by doing this. It is going really well but we always need funds for the running costs as our only source of money is through donations.”
