The event was jam-packed with stalls and games as families flocked to the green to enjoy the spring sunshine.

Parliamentary candidate and Winscombe resident John Penrose opened the event, which featured maypole dancing, a circus workshop and a demonstration from Avon Owls.

Fair organiser Lois Brenchley said the fair is a ‘great community event where everyone pulls together’.

She added: “It was a fabulous May fair once again.

“There was a really happy atmosphere with lots of families enjoying a really good day.”
