People across North Somerset created beautiful bonnets and took part in egg hunts to mark this year's Easter celebration.

Schools including St Georges Primary School and Wrington Primary School encouraged their pupils to make and wear Easter bonnets, while others, such as Yatton Federated Schools, held festive egg-decorating competitions across the end of last week.

However, the fun was not only enjoyed by the area’s children, as communities and villages turned out to take part in egg hunts and other celebrations across the four-day weekend.

Locking Scouts hosted an egg hunt on the village green on Easter Saturday, while people in Wrington searched for chocolate goodies at The Plough, in High Street, on Easter Sunday.
