THE owner of a North Somerset vineyard is celebrating after winning an award just a year after producing her first wines.
Dunleavy Vineyard in Wrington was planted by Ingrid Bates in 2008, and its pinot noir rose won best local wine at the Bristol Good Food Awards.
Ingrid said: “We’re really excited about getting our first award - hopefully it’ll be the first of many.”
Ingrid, who worked in the media before chasing her dream to run a vineyard, sold out of her first bottles within three days when she released them last year.
