More than 100 short films contributed by students in nearly 30 different countries were whittled down into a dazzling two-hour showcase for a festival organised by Weston College students this week.
Film and media arts production students ran their fourth annual Dirigo Film Festival on Tuesday at the Arnolfini in Bristol.
The event draws together some of the finest student films created around the globe, and this year saw a total of 113 films submitted from 28 countries.
Even spokesman Ellie Morgan said: “This festival aims to inspire and showcase creativity of student filmmakers.
“It is an open festival with no set boundaries; an essential evening for those with a passion for film.”
Awards were presented for the best international film, the best film made in the South West, as well as the best film in the region created by an under-18 student.
