North Somerset Council has agreed to invest £200,000 in improving transport links to Bristol Airport.
The airport will pay £450,000 towards a study to develop public transport, train and road links across the whole district.
The council hopes to build a case to take to the Government’s Department for Transport for further investment in roads and links to the airport.
The council’s executive member for highways and transport Elfan Ap Rees previously said: “The airport has a 10 million passenger target over the coming years and clearly with those sorts of numbers it is time to look at better ways of getting to and from it.”
